Navigating the Dashboard

The SecureLink dashboard is organized around a sidebar navigation, a main content area, and a top bar with contextual controls. This page walks through each element so you can find what you need quickly.

The left sidebar is your primary navigation. It is organized into logical groups:

Home

The home view with KPI cards, fleet status, traffic charts, and security posture. Click the SecureLink logo or Home to return here from anywhere.

Equipment

Manage all your network devices and configuration:

Menu ItemDescription
Config TemplatesCreate and manage baseline configuration templates for edge provisioning. System templates provide defaults; custom templates let you tailor settings per deployment.
EdgesDedicated edge devices running VPP. View status, configure interfaces, tunnels, ACLs, NAT, and more.
Shared GatewaysMulti-tenant gateway edges (MTGEs). View tenant assignments, gateway status, and per-tenant configuration.
ConnectorsLightweight edge devices using Linux networking. Manage WireGuard connections, peering, and routing.
DevicesApp devices — VPN client device registrations. View registered devices and their connection status.
Device GroupsOrganize app devices into groups for policy assignment and management.

Network

Configure site-to-site connectivity:

Menu ItemDescription
Edge PeeringSet up and manage WireGuard or IPSec tunnels between edges. Create peering groups with mesh, hub-spoke, or partial-mesh topologies.
Routing PoliciesDefine routing policies to control traffic flow and path selection across the network.
ApplicationsManage application definitions for traffic classification and policy-based routing.

Monitoring

Observe your network in real time:

Menu ItemDescription
Device StatusOverview of all device connectivity and health across the fleet.
PerformanceThroughput, packet counts, CPU, memory, and resource utilization charts.
LogsCentralized log viewer for edge device events, configuration changes, and system activity.
ObservabilityGrafana dashboards for deep-dive metrics and flow analysis.
ACL MonitoringView ACL rule match counts and traffic patterns.
Suricata IDS/IPSIntrusion detection and prevention alerts and rule statistics. This item shows a lock icon if not enabled for your tenant.
Traffic MonitoringNetwork flow data visualization and traffic analysis.

Analytics

Data analysis and reporting:

Menu ItemDescription
Traffic AnalysisDetailed traffic flow analysis with filtering and aggregation.
ReportsGenerate and view network utilization and security reports.

Administration

System management (admin users only):

Menu ItemDescription
UsersManage Super Admins, Tenant Admins, VPN/App Users, and pending invitations.
TenantsCreate and manage tenant organizations.
Roles & PermissionsDefine roles and assign granular permissions.
System SettingsPlatform-wide configuration including feature flags and system defaults.
info

Some sidebar items may display a lock icon if the feature is not enabled for your tenant. Contact your administrator if you need access to a locked feature.

Top Bar

The top bar provides contextual controls that apply across the entire application:

As you navigate deeper into the application (for example, Equipment > Edges > Edge Detail), breadcrumbs appear below the top bar showing your current location. Click any breadcrumb segment to navigate back to that level.

The search bar allows you to quickly find devices by name, serial number, or IP address. Results update as you type and are scoped to your tenant.

Notification Bell

The bell icon in the top-right corner shows a badge count when there are unread notifications. Click it to open the notification panel, where you can:

  • View recent alerts and events
  • Mark notifications as read
  • Click a notification to navigate directly to the relevant device or configuration

Dark Mode Toggle

Click the theme toggle (sun/moon icon) to switch between light and dark modes. Your preference is saved and persists across sessions.

Tenant Context

All data displayed in the SecureLink dashboard is automatically filtered to your tenant. You will only see edges, connectors, gateways, VPN users, and metrics that belong to your organization.

tip

If you are a SuperAdmin with access to multiple tenants, you can switch tenant context from the top bar to view and manage resources across different organizations.

Tables and Pagination

All data tables in the dashboard are paginated:

  • Full-page tables (edge list, connector list, user list, etc.) show 10 rows per page by default
  • Embedded tables (sessions, activity logs in account settings) show 5 rows per page
  • Pagination controls appear at the bottom of each table: First, Previous, Page indicator, Next, Last
  • When a table has 10 or fewer rows (or 5 for embedded), pagination controls are hidden
  • Use the search bar within each table to filter results — pagination resets to page 1 when searching

Common Navigation Patterns

Device Detail Pages

Clicking on any device (edge, MTGE, or connector) from a list view takes you to its detail page. Detail pages are organized into tabs specific to the device type.

Inline Actions

Throughout the dashboard, look for action buttons and icons:

  • Plus (+) button — Add a new resource (edge, peering group, VPN user, etc.)
  • Pencil icon — Edit an existing configuration
  • Trash icon — Delete a resource (with confirmation)
  • Sync icon — Push pending configuration changes to a device
  • Gear icon — Open settings or configuration for an item

Configuration Sync Status

When you make configuration changes to an edge, those changes are staged locally until you explicitly sync them. Look for status indicators:

  • Synced — The device is running the latest configuration
  • Pending Changes — Configuration changes have been made but not yet pushed to the device
  • Sync Failed — The last configuration push encountered an error
warning

Always verify the sync status after making configuration changes. Changes are not applied to the device until a successful sync completes.
