Approving an MTGE
After a Shared Gateway has been bootstrapped and connected to the orchestrator, it must be approved by an administrator before it can serve tenants.
Finding Pending Devices
- Navigate to Equipment > Shared Gateways.
- Select the Pending tab.
- Devices that have completed bootstrap and are awaiting approval appear here with a "pending approval" status.
Reviewing Device Details
Before approving, review the device information to confirm it matches your expected hardware:
| Detail | What to Check |
|---|---|
| Serial Number | Matches the serial number of the physical device you deployed |
| WAN IP | The public-facing IP address reported by the device |
| Firmware Version | The software version running on the device |
info
Always verify that the serial number matches the device you physically deployed. Approving an unrecognized device could grant unauthorized access to your network.
Approving or Rejecting
- Click Approve to activate the MTGE. It moves to the Active tab and becomes available for tenant assignment.
- Click Reject to deny the device. Rejected devices are removed from the pending list.
After Approval
Once approved, the Shared Gateway is fully operational and ready for the next step: Assigning Tenants. The device will begin sending regular heartbeats and status reports, and its status on the Active tab will show as "online."
