Timezone & Date Format

Configure how dates and times are displayed throughout the SecureLink interface. Your preferences apply to dashboards, charts, log timestamps, tables, and all other time-related data.

Accessing Preferences

Navigate to Settings > Account > Preferences.

Timezone

Select your timezone from the dropdown. All timestamps displayed in the UI will be converted to your selected timezone.

For example, if an edge device reports a log entry at 2026-02-12T08:30:00Z (UTC) and your timezone is set to Australia/Sydney (UTC+11), the entry will appear as 2026-02-12 19:30:00.

tip

Setting your timezone ensures that log timestamps and chart tooltips display in your local time, making it easier to correlate events with your workday.

Date Format

Choose your preferred date format:

FormatExample
DD/MM/YYYY12/02/2026
MM/DD/YYYY02/12/2026
YYYY-MM-DD2026-02-12 (ISO 8601)

Time Format

Choose between two time formats:

FormatExample
12-hour2:30 PM
24-hour14:30

Priority Cascade

Your display preferences follow a priority cascade. The first available setting is used:

  1. Your personal preference -- The timezone, date format, and time format you configure on this page.
  2. System-wide default -- A default set by your administrator that applies to all users who have not set a personal preference.
  3. UTC -- If neither a personal preference nor a system default is configured, all times display in UTC.

This means your personal settings always take priority. If you clear your preferences, the system default (or UTC) will be used instead.

Scope of Changes

Changes take effect immediately across the entire SecureLink interface, including:

  • Dashboard charts and tooltips
  • Log viewer timestamps
  • Device status tables (last seen, last sync)
  • Alert and event timestamps
  • Configuration history entries
